I have added this information on the main page as I feel in these political times that it is increasingly important to stay informed to protect our Second Amendment Rights or we could lose a freedom that we enjoy so much and some may take for granted.

Greetings and thanks for visiting our site

Welcome to the Ukiah Rifle & Pistol Club; a private members only club also known locally as the Ukiah Gun Club. There are some activities which the general public are welcome to participate in such as CCW Classes, Hunter Safety Courses, Turkey Shoots, High Power matches and Black Powder events, to contact us for more information please use the link located at the bottom of this web site.

Our 80 Acre facilities are nestled in the Oak Covered Eastern foothills of the Ukiah Valley. We offer our family friendly facilities to many different shooting groups and events each month. Our goal is to provide you with useful information about our Club that we hope will facilitate you in becoming an active member of our organization. Please see Club Information on the menu bar for detail instructions on how you can join. And if you are already a member of the Ukiah Rifle and Pistol Club, then this site is dedicated to you.

Feel free to brows our links that will take you to see what we have going on. The board of directors would like you to know that we place a great value in your participation in your club. Your direct involvement, both individually and as a group, are a testimony to this fine and unique organization.

And it is for that reason that this can be said; "each and every member makes the Ukiah Rifle and Pistol Club what it is today". To learn about our history go here.

The Youth Scholastic Trap Program is looking for the donation of a Gun Safe so if anyone is so inclined to help out this fine program contact them and let them know what you would like to donate.

One more step in taking away your firearms accomplished, and if you think it will stop here don't kid yourself !! The people who want to keep us from owning firearms will not be content until they have taken every firearm from every home in America. It is up to each and every one of us to be heard or we will be silenced!

Microstamping Legislation signed into law!
 Contact Governor Schwarzenegger and tell Him what you think about his signing into law AB1471

Assembly Bill 1471

This legislation not would, but will require that after a certain date, the make, model, and serial number of a firearm be microstamped onto the interior surface or internal working parts of all handguns in such a manner that those identifiers are imprinted onto the cartridge case upon firing.  The manufacture, sale, and transfer of handguns that do not imprint their identifying information on a cartridge case would be a crime.

Contact the Governor and let him know what you think about his stand on AB1471.  Governor Schwarzenegger can be reached by phone at (916) 445-2841, fax at (916) 445-4633, or visit http://gov.ca.gov/interact#email to send him an email.

See the latest News and information posted below and If you haven't already looked at the calendar there are lots of new activities planned so stay tuned into the Calendar and latest Newsletter  to stay on top of what will be happening on the different ranges. This will also help you so you don't show up to shoot alone and find that the range is tied up for an event.

The youth JR. Trap program is underway for the summer and these young shooters need support if you have any shotguns to donate.  Contact Penny for info.

THE MOST SWEEPING GUN BAN EVER INTRODUCED IN CONGRESS;
McCarthy Bill Bans Millions More Guns Than The Clinton Gun Ban

On Feb. 14, 2007, Representative Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.) introduced H.R. 1022, a bill with the stated purpose, "to reauthorize the assault weapons ban, and for other purposes." You can go here- www.NRAILA.org, for further information on how this will affect our right to own firearms. This is important because either we are heard or we will lose them!!

If you need help identifying your State Representative please use the "Write Your Representative" feature found at www.nraila.org/.

Attention all gun owners;
The United Nations must be stopped from taking away our firearms.

That means your rifles, your shotguns and your handguns. And your freedom!
To learn what you can do to stop the U.N.'s global gun ban treaty-before it destroys our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms visit www.stopungunban.org.

This is a serious threat to our Nations Freedoms guaranteed to us by our Constitution!!! If the UN through our liberal Politicians are allowed to take away our 2nd Amendment rights, where will they, (the U.N. and liberal Politics) stop, or which Rights will they go after next?
