COWBOY ACTION SHOOTING
 The Single Action Shooting
Society otherwise known as SASS holds their "posse" shootout
activities which include pistol, rifle and shotgun timed
shooting events reenacting and practicing the skills of olde
time western shooting days.
Strap on your leather, holster your iron, put on your ten
gallon hat, boots and spurs and watch or participate in these fun time events yeha.
Five or SIX Stages of Cowboy Action Shooting
are conducted on the Third Sunday of every month. Registration
starts at 8:00 AM, Safety Briefing at 9:00 AM, shooting starts
immediately after the safety briefing.
New shooters are welcome. You should be familiar with SASS
rules, gun safety and the operation of your own firearms.
First-time participants must attend a cowboy shooter
familiarization before their first match. The goal is to
emphasize safety, gun handling and provide a general overview of
how a cowboy match works.
If you don’t have your own gear yet, we have guns and ammo
available so you can give it a try. Just let us know ahead of
time and we’ll lend a hand.
Contact Will (Will Bonner) at 462-1466 or Patrick(Hoot) at
829-2731.
